What is Microneedling?

Microneedling is a non-surgical procedure that uses a handheld device with tiny needles to create micro punctures in the skin. Microneedling helps stimulate new collagen through a process called dermal remodeling. Collagen is the elastic fibers that make your skin smooth, tight and thick. As we age, we continue to lose collagen, which causes our skin to look thin, wrinkly and creepy.

What benefits can you get from Microneedling?

-Improve scars

-Minimize pore size

-Reduce the appearance of stretch marks

-Build collagen

-Improve skin tone and texture

-Reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles

Microneedling is also great for those who just want to improve the overall appearance of their skin and slow down the aging process.

How often should you have Microneedling done?

Microneedling is not a one-and-done treatment. We recommend a maintenance treatment every 4-12 weeks apart.

What to expect on the day of treatment?

Topical numbing will be applied prior to your treatment. During your treatment, you can expect slight pressure and vibration. With proper numbing, treatment is comfortable and pain-free.

What are the side effects and downtime of Microneedling?

Microneedling has a few temporary side effects. The procedure may cause short-term redness, swelling, dryness and micro bruising throughout the treated area. Most people can return to wearing makeup within 3 days. On average most clients take about 3-5 days to recover.

Are at-home microneedling devices effective?

At-home microneedling devices only treat superficially, reaching 0.25mm in depth. These home devices are unlikely to have any benefit for dermal remodeling.
